Q&A: Taché talks putting Antwerp back on the map with CARAT+

Taché, one of Europe’s largest diamond groups, is exhibiting for the first time at CARAT+ in 2018. Chief Executive Officer, Jacky Taché, tells David Brough how the company is primed to supply its clients and ready to see a repositioning of Antwerp on the global stage.

Q: What variety of diamonds will you be showing at CARAT+ in terms of cut, clarity and colour?

Jacky Taché: Clients will see a variety of diamonds on show - from melee to certified to exceptional - all in a range of cuts, colours and clarities. Visitors can also expect a surprise or two to be unveiled at CARAT+.

Q: What is the value of international trade fairs for your brand, and how significant for you is it that CARAT+ takes place in Antwerp?

JT: The key ingredient that transforms a good fair into a great fair is not its location, but rather the calibre and flow of visitors it attracts. Antwerp, long considered the capital of our industry, has needed to reposition itself on the world map for some time now.
